About Me
From personality to designs
I think it's important to always have an open mind. Everyone experiences the world different and we should respect and celebrate that. This is something that also becomes apparent in my designs, as most of them try to show a different perspective than the normal one. Besides open mindedness I believe we should always try to have a positive outlook on the world. This is why I like to address societal issues in a more light hearted manner, making people think about them, but not directly giving them a pessimistic view.
What is CMD?
Communication and Multimedia Design is a study that teaches you different areas of design. Because of the broadness of the study I have learned to work with a ton of different softwares and media. I consider this to be a huge strength, because it enables me to tackle specific problems from different perspectives.
At CMD we are also taught how to use design for research. I have the ability to tackle complex issues using design as a way to get answers, using prototypes and testing as a way to gather information.
Other skills I have learned include:
Free time
When I'm not studying I have a lot of other activities to choose from. A lot of my time is spent being creative. I always have projects I'm working on, for example sewing or painting. I practice HEMA (Historic European Martial Arts). This sport lets me combine my passion for history with physical activities. Seeing as one of my other passions is fantasy, I also regularly play tabletop roleplay games and do worldbuilding.
In all these hobbies I have the opportunity to express my creativity. Be it crafting something with my hands, quickly coming up with a plan on how to block an attack or fully immersing myself in different worlds.
